News Desk: The continuation of expelling BNP’s grassroots leaders is underway in phases. After the expulsion of first, second, third and fourth phases, the central BNP has expelled 18 more leaders around the country. It is being said that, BNP has expelled 18 leaders for taking part in the Upazila elections by disrupting party’s decision. The leaders, who were expelled from the party, are also contesting the posts of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of different upazilas of the country.
This was informed by a press release signed by BNP’s co-office editor Taiful Islam Tipu on Saturday (March 16th).
The expelled BNP leaders are: Mustafa Alam Masum- member of Chittagong North and Hathazari upazila BNP, Pirojpur district BNP member and former general secretary of Jianagar upazila BNP-Fayjul Kabir Talukder, Nazirpur Upazila branch women’s general secretary-Selina Begum, Nesarabad upazila BNP member and president of women front-Jahanara Begum, Dinajpur district BNP member and vice-president of district team and women’s team of Parbatipur upazila’s general secretary-Shahida Khatun, general secretary of the party in Phulbari upazila-Hasna Begum, Delwar Hossain- joint secretary of Birampur upzalia BNP, organizing secretary Manzur Rashid Ratan, upazila women BNP’s General Secretary Umme Kulsum Banu, Birampur Municipality BNP’s Organizing Secretary Abdul Hai, Nawabganj upazila women’s party President Lipi Begum, Nawabganj upazila BNP and upazila women BNP’s General Secretary-Shabana Begum, District BNP member and Kahorol upazila Jubo Dal joint General Secretary-Habibir Rahman Habee, Joint General Secretary of District women front-Firoza Begum Khan, Khansama upazila BNP member-ATM Sujahuddin Shah Lohin, Hakimpur upazila women’s party President and district women BNP’s vice-president-Parul Nahar, district women’s member-Aktar Chowdhury, Hakimpur, municipal BNP’s organizing secretary-Wahedur Rahman Ripon have been expelled from all posts including the primary membership of the party.
Earlier BNP has expelled hundreds of leaders and activists for participating in the upazila elections disobeying party’s decision. It is learned that, the expelled leaders declared to resist the grassroots politics of BNP. The newly banished 18 leaders are known to be walking towards it. They are also thinking to stand against the party by contacting other expelled leaders. That seems to be a danger for BNP.
